True Europeans need skeptics

We enjoyed a sunny weekend in Rome. Two days were enough to convince the most enthusiastic Europeans that small Nordic countries do not need to finance that country, no matter how bad they claim to be. We stood outside their Parliament building while they were trying to elect a new President. There were dozens of big Mercedes and Audis, hundreds of drivers, black-dressed bodyguards, and other very important people. They were like swarms of bees around their hive. Tourists by the million filled the streets, hotels and restaurants. If they can afford grand palaces and edifices, huge churches, and expensive cars how can they claim to be broke! Leaders should be setting an example of true Protestant humility if things are as bad as they say.
